Video: Lexus Uses Custom Rotary Weaver To Make Carbon Fiber A-Pillar on $375k Supercar

Those of you that stay tuned to the latest in car news will have heard about Lexus’s new player in the supercar field, the LFA.  Without getting too much into the car, it’s a V10 $375,000 car which is the Toyota’s first step in making composite production a reality.

Toyota happens to own of two rotary weavers in existence, which was repurposed to create the carbon fiber A-pillars on the LFA.  Autoblog was able to get their hands on a video of the device in action.  You just have to see it to see how crazy complex and cool it is:
