Not everything we cover on the site is real carbon fiber, some of it is just meant to look like it, and sometimes that’s ok with us. This time around, we’ve got the carbon fiber style’d desk valet with a custom engraved copper plate from Things Remembered.
The desk valet is a neat little box that opens up and offers a variety of compartments which you can put little things like paper clips and other office items in. The box is made out of shiny wood, and features a carbon fiber design on the top. You’ll also find a black matte copper plate on the top that you can optionally personalize with whatever you want to engrave.
There are two swivel drawers and three compartments on the bottom, all of which are lined. So if you’re looking for a stylish way to organize all those little things on your desk, this may be for you. Alternatively, check out our office category for other cool office-related carbon fiber products.

This one is for those exotic car lovers and pure automobile enthusiasts. The guys at RaceChairs.com have a unique paperweight which utilizes a 6″x6″ piece of real carbon fiber, a colored suede underside, and a real gas cap from a Ferrari 355 (Also available with a Lamborghini Diablo gas cap). The bottom of the paperweight is covered in suede, you have the option of choosing black, yellow, or red. Our sample unit was red, the true Ferrari color. The suede is soft, and ensure that you won’t scratch anything.
The Ferrari 355 gas cap is highly polished aluminum, and displays the Ferrari logo on the center. It’s a perfect weight to hold your papers down. The cap is brand new, and was never actually used on a car.
You may optionally have an engraved plaque added (perfect for special occasions like Father’s Day) as well as wall hangers if you want to just display it.

The mousepad is made using real carbon fiber in a semi-stiff resin. It has a semi-matte finish that is perfectly smoothed out…perfect for using an optical mouse, or one with a trackball. The bottom has little non-slip feet in order to keep the mousepad in place.
As you can see, the weave is absolutely perfect, with no imperfections. The pad itself is pretty thin, measuring in at only 1/16″ of an inch. It really matches a modern office look, and it’s a great way to impress your friends.
