I have had three CF wallets over the years, still have them all in a drawer too! My first was about 12 years ago with a C-The-Fiber complete wrap-around wallet. Lasted longer than the other two on the outside, but the leather ended up shredding inside. With only one pocket for bills, it wasn't practical either. Second came a no-name all carbon wrap-around with a fixed ID pocket on the right side when opened. Worst one of the three, CF started peeling and bubbling on the outside, the leather edges look like a mess, and the inside leather looks like a cat got to it (don't own any!) after years of use.

THIS wallet, with a leather-bound edge, looked to be like the best design possible, with the edge that takes the most abuse getting leather treatment instead of "end to end carbon." I should note that mine is probably an older design, as it is the same look on the outside and inside, but with the following changes: there is an attached ID flap on the left side, and on the right side lower pocket, it is stamped "Handmade Genuine Leather." I have had this for about 4 years now, I suppose, and the leather on the inside is holding up very well. The outside, unfortunately, has seen better days. The right side that holds the three rows of cards without the ID flap has taken a lot of abuse inside my front pants pocket (hate keeping wallets on my rear) because the top edge folds over it quite a bit, causing the carbon to become stressed, and has cracked a one inch long tear in the carbon. Furthermore, the carbon has now started coming undone and I have lost exactly 20 squares of woven fibers. Have thought about putting some industrial strength glue in to seal it, but then the wallet won't have any more flexibility at that point and could cause more damage in the end......

Overall, a great wallet, and I don't mind having a 4 year record with each one of my wallets on average, so I give it 4 out of 5 stars since this has held up really well, a straight tie with the C-The-Fiber wallet that had damaged to the leather on the inside where this one had damage on the outside CF. I bought this wallet for my boyfriend for his 21st birthday. He absolutely LOVED it! He constantly comments on the quality and the amount of space he now has to store the money that never stays there long because he spends it on me 0:) Highly, highly recommended for that special gear head in your life. For several years, I had a different type of CF wallet which was smaller, a lot more flexible, and more comfortable to carry. It wore out so I replaced it with this one.

It 's very nicely made and durable, but that brings a couple of drawbacks.

This bigger, stiffer wallet has already worn a hole in the back pocket of two pairs of my jeans after about 6 months of use.

It's also a lot thicker than my old one and recently I've been having some pain in my hip at the end of the workday. A chiropractor friend of mine suggested it might be due to the thickness of the wallet and it appears he's right as I don't have this problem if I'm not sitting on it all day. (Posted on 8/4/09)

Bought this from another retailer. Looks great, but the leather seems to be a little cheap compared to the rest of the wallet, and considering the price. I'd probably still buy it again, though. (Posted on 7/24/09)

I bought this last year for my boyfriend's birthday, who desperately needed a new wallet and is absolutely obsessed with carbon fiber. He loved it! For the first couple of months he was taking it out of his pocket just to show it off to everyone that there was real carbon fiber in his back pocket at all times...hehe. I recently had my wallet stolen and was looking for a replacement. I wanted something that was unique and durable. While looking I stumbled across this and had to have it. It is slightly larger than my last wallet but that makes it easy to get bills in and out (something I couldn't even do with the previous one) and there is plenty of room for cards and "stuff." Occasionally the outside will feel a bit sticky but it still slides right into my back pocket!! Overall, this is a great wallet, now it just needs to be put up against the test of time to see how it handles the years of abuse. (Posted on 7/21/09)

Received this wallet as a Christmas present from my best girl (MOM). I LOVE carbon fiber products and this was no let-down. I can pack in a lot of receipts and cards and not have a bulky wallet falling out of my pocket. It sometimes is a little hard to remove the cards,but that's a good thing so I'm not going to lose them. My friends are envious of the look and sleek design. Definitely a great product for the price! Bought this wallet a little over a year ago and it is still in great shape. The leather around the edges is a little worn but other then that it looks brand new still. The shine is just as good as the day I got it. (Posted on 7/20/09)
