We came across this on Shoryuken.com, a site dedicated to fighting game fanatics. Within their large community (80,000+ members) we found a little golden nugget of a custom joystick made by username “degauss“:

degauss posted his custom carbon fiber and fiberglass joystick in a thread dedicated to showing off custom joysticks…regardless of being interested in carbon fiber or not, there’s 520+ pages of some pretty awesome stuff.
His custom joystick features the following:
- All Seimitsu buttons with quick disconnects
- Seimitsu LS-32-01
- Dual-PCB with a multi-console Chtulhu
- MadCatz 360 retro arcade PCB
- Imp electronic switch to change between the Cthulhu and 360 PCB
- RJ-45 Mod
- The mounting plate will also fit a Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT, the Sanwa buttons with the larger nut will also fit
Of course, the case is made from carbon fiber and fiberglass, and a 6mm acrylic bottom with rubber feet. The entire stick weighs just 1.7kg or 3.75 lbs. The craftmanship looks great, and it’s really an amazing looking piece. Here’s a few more pictures to gawk over:
