A mix of innovation and fine-design makes this Nerocarbonio collection beyond desirable. Of course, the toilet is extremely lightweight, which doesn’t do much for the consumer because people don’t tend to travel with toilets…right?

The toilet and the bidet both have bowls of the same exact shape. If you take notice to the picture of the toilet, you can see a rare form the toilet’s cover has which hides the seat.

Mansory, an aftermarket auto refining company which specializes in the modification of high-end British automobiles, was founded in 1989 by Kourosh Mansory. Mansory himself was and remains an auto enthusiast. The company’s hit list includes but is not limited to, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Bentley Continental GT, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and Aston Martin Vanquish.

Earlier use of carbon fiber by Mansory can be found in Porsche Cayenne and Bugatti Veyron. Now they are taking it to a whole new level; office furniture and more specifically, office chairs. Priced at $25,000 each, your rear is sure to thank you. Because they are compiled of large amounts of carbon fiber and genuine leather, these chairs are light-weight and extremely durable. Plus they look pretty sweet!

The chairs are available in an array of different materials and colors.  You’ll find a variety of materials from carbon fiber to chestnut wood to gold leather padding.

Gorenje enterprises are divided into three divisions, one being Household appliances, which is where these fabulous pieces of carbon fiber come from. They manufacture and sell appliances of their own products, along with some of other manufacturers. Ora-Ito is the name of the French designer who created the brand at just 19 years of age. Not limited to household appliances, Ora-Ito also sells bathroom accessories, cosmetics, jewelry and more.

The new carbon fiber collection, takes Gorenje’s last top-selling collection of white and black to a whole new level. This time around they really stepped up to the plate, no pun intended. Using carbon fiber, they added exquisite features to the appliances such as the handles. Did we mention that the oven is equipped with advanced electronic direct touch control?  Note that the appliances aren’t fully made out of carbon fiber, but certain design elements such as the handles are.

We are thinking if we take all of these new carbon fiber appliances from the collection, and add the Custom Carbon Fiber TV and Table Base/Support from Choate Carbon, we would have one hell of a kitchen. Forget serving food when you host your next party, the appearance of your kitchen will be entertaining enough. Prices have yet to be released on these carbon fiber kitchen appliances, but we think it’s safe to assume, they’re not going to be cheap!

Brodie Neill, a dynamic designer who hails from Australia, has combined carbon fiber, graphite and crystals to produce the ‘Jet’ table. In 2008, one of Neill’s pieces was named one of Time Magazine’s most influential designs. Neill’s website continues,

“With an extensive record of international exhibitions, Brodie has won international design awards and continues to attract top manufactures with his unique fusion of technology and a progressive aesthetic.”

Perhaps the ‘Jet’ desk has been named after the fast and vigorous stereotype that coincides with carbon fiber. Either way, we would love to get our hands on one. This sensual piece of furniture is sure to turn any room ‘on’.

Furniture designer and maker Peter Donders has hand crafted these exquisite stones in Belgium. On his personal website he explains,

“the combination of my thorough understanding of the craftsmanship of being a classic furniture maker, combined with the unique set of tools that I have mastered and that I am currently using has put me in a very unique position.”

And these unique benches, made for sitting, prove just that. Since they are made out of carbon fiber, you can bet they are extremely strong and durable, not to mention, lightweight.

The actual carbon fiber used to make the chopstick set, which includes a solid carbon fiber rest, is taken from excess material used by an aerospace company.  What is really rare about it is that the carbon fiber is actually the thickness that you see in the pictures…it’s cut from a solid black of rare high-temp carbon fiber, and because of its thickness, it provides some very interesting visual appeal.

Want to know why the carbon fiber used for this is so rare?  It costs something like $60,000 for the aerospace company to manufacture as 12′ x 40′ piece of it using a solid Vartm method.  It has a tensile strength of 1.8 million PSI.

Generally you wouldn’t want to use carbon fiber for eating purposes, but because of the high-quality of the carbon fiber used, it can be heated over 400 degrees.  What this allows for is a non-toxic food-safe and dishwasher-safe coating to be applied to the set.  You can totally use these to eat with, stick them in the dishwasher, and have no problems whatsoever.

The chopstick set is hand-made in the USA, is 8.5″ long, and .25″ thick.  If you’re looking for a high-end set of chopsticks that are a visually masterpiece, these will set you back about $150, and can be purchased in our store.

The all carbon fiber coffee table is made up of carbon uni bands on the edges and middle for stiffness.  In-between that is a 5mm core, giving the table its solid look.  The tooling itself was made using 3 separate molds; one for main table, and then two for each of the supports.

Interestingly enough, the main table was made on a spindle (carbon fiber tube) that Mellor could rotate the entire mold without having it on a bench, making the layup much easier.  He used a block and tackle (the purple rope in the picture below) to control what angle the mold was in.

Mellor mentions that while the picture above seems a bit crude, using the container for manufacturing was great for controlling humidity and temperature.  Here’s the table when it came off the mold:

The coaster set is included if you purchase the table.  The table is priced at 11,000 euros, or about $16,000 at the time of this writing – you can contact Mellor by e-mailing him at rhys.mellor [at] gmail [dot] com.  The funny thing about the pricing is that Mellor is a long time reader and fan of Carbon Fiber Gear, so he sees how expensive some of the carbon fiber products are.  Once he finished the table, he now completely understands the pricing after adding up all of the hours, materials, and overhead.

That’s exactly how Utrecht designer, Bram Geenen, gets much of his inspiration, by examining past artists and their works and adding his touch of flair to them. For his latest project, Bram created a stool made of carbon fiber and his inspiration was famed 19th century Modernist style architect, Antonio Gaudí. Gaudí was famous for mixing gothic architecture with a modern style and paying close attention to nature’s angles and curves. Bram also used Gaudí’s idea of creating a model of hanging chains and allowing gravity to determine the strongest and weakest points.

The stool, weighing just one kilogram, was created by Geenen as part of the Furnistructures Project, which focuses on creating lightweight products. It derives its strength from the beam-grid substructure and is made of rapid-prototyped polyamide, while the top of the stool is a thin layer of carbon fiber.  The carbon fiber composite was developed in cooperation with composite manufacturer CEEMO design/engineering and Mareco Prototyping.

The stool is on the small side, 60 x 60 x 50 cm, so that may deter some people from purchasing it for practical purposes. However, if this is a must have, production has been kept surprisingly low, making it a feasible product for production, which is currently taking place with the Dutch research-institute TNO.

The construction of the Black Widow table began with a single piece of aluminum which Aznom engineers used for the legs. Carbon fiber covers the lower halves of each leg, enhancing the table’s luxurious style. Also adding that carbon fiber, competitive car look.

The Black Widow doesn’t exactly remind me of Cal Yalmon’s Carbon Fiber Hexa Desk, but comparing the two was pretty fun. For someone unfamiliar with carbon fibers muscles, they could easily look at either of the structures and become curious how a piece of such thick glass can be held up by such a small amount of material. But for anyone reading this, we know better.

Each leg is supported by a central structural carbon-beam and connects to the “spine” of the Black Widow for ultimate sturdiness. Layering sheets of carbon together until 8mm of thickness is reached generates the “spine”, also known as the central carbon tube. Many sailboats are constructed this way to ensure maximum resistance to weight.

The tube has aluminum joints on each end that connect with the legs. Complex calculations allow for even distribution of weight coming from the glass covering (the top of the table). The clear glass allows for visibility of the whole structure, which is my favorite feature.

Each leg stands on an adjustable aluminum “foot” and adjustments can easily be made using your standard Allen wrench. The combination of aluminum and carbon fiber make for an extremely lightweight object with an enormous amount of strength and durability.

The silver and black motif of this table will spruce up even the most modern of rooms. Its architectural structure and unconventional being will be the biggest driver behind this products demand.
