Nissan is finally bringing their flagship GT-R to the US in 2009. The GT-R is the ultimate Nissan sports car, able to compete (and beat!) a 911 Porsche Turbo on the track for half the price.

Nissan has put together the GT-R Collection, which are a bunch of products that feature a GT-R logo and of course some carbon fiber goodness. The only problem is that it will be hard to get your hands on any of this unless you’re in Japan…and even then, it won’t be cheap at all. Expect to pay top dollar:

After a fun weekend of snowboarding, I thought it would only be right to post some sort of carbon fiber snow gear up. This time up we’ve got the Oakley A Frame carbon fiber snow goggles:

If you can’t notice from the picture, these are actually carbon fiber styled, and not real carbon fiber. They still look great, and the A Frames are a good snow goggle. Oakley developed a three-tier defense system against the coveted fog that we all hate on goggles. They have surge ports that control airflow, there is also a F-3 series anti-fog treatment, and a dual lens design that reduces fog by creating a thermal barrier of trapped air. All to keep your eyesight clear. The lens is available in 3 colors, VR28 (pinkish), black iridium (shown above), and persimmon (orangish). You can find the carbon fiber styled version of the A Frames on eBay for about $90-$100 shipped, here’s a list of the latest auctions for your reference:

In 2002 Nike came out with the Air Jordan XVII. Priced at $200, it was the most expensive Air Jordan shoe to date. It came in a Jumpman embossed metal carrying case with the sneakers and CD with the Air Jordan XVII song. The shoes feature a carbon fiber side and were available in 4 mid top colors and 1 lowtop color.

If you’re a big Nissan fan, and also like the carbon fiber wallet I posted about previously, then you may really like the Nismo carbon fiber wallet (thanks MC from My350Z for the picture):

The wallet is made by Nissan Japan, features high quality leather, a carbon fiber strip through the middle, and red stitching throughout.

There are three credit card slots, a bill slot, and a coin pocket. The wallet is pretty pricey, coming in at $120…a bit more than the carbon fiber wallet I wrote about before.

I found it sold at one store (Thanks again MC!) online called Response Import Autofashion. I also found it on eBay at the time of writing this which was still $128 shipped:

The carbon fiber wallet was the single product that spawned the idea for this website. I thought the combination of the black leather and carbon fiber looked great, so I posted about it on a few websites. People seemed to really like them, and a few people ordered one. Take a look at how good they look:

There was a couple concerns about the carbon fiber fraying and causing splinters. Somebody had posted that they had one since 2005 with no problems, so I guess that shouldn’t be a concern. If you have one, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
