Carbon fiber is being used in a number of high-end watches, like the Bell & Ross watches we’ve written about in the past. It’s a unique feature that allows a watchmaker to differentiate themselves from other companies. That’s where designer John Pszeniczny comes into play for his Montre F1/Carbon GMT watch concept which he designed:

The watch is inspired by an F1 car, utilizing a variety of materials you’d find on the car itself; rubber, carbon fiber, and metal. On top of that, you’ll find Swarovski crystals, and 18 rubies that represent the 18 different F1 tracks around the world. Speaking of the 18 F1 tracks, the digital display can show the time at any of those tracks. On top of that, it also features a lap time function and a stopwatch.

This unique piece will run you well into the 5 figure range. I’ve read anywhere from $20,000-$40,000.

Nissan is finally bringing their flagship GT-R to the US in 2009. The GT-R is the ultimate Nissan sports car, able to compete (and beat!) a 911 Porsche Turbo on the track for half the price.

Nissan has put together the GT-R Collection, which are a bunch of products that feature a GT-R logo and of course some carbon fiber goodness. The only problem is that it will be hard to get your hands on any of this unless you’re in Japan…and even then, it won’t be cheap at all. Expect to pay top dollar:

When you want to go all out with your writing utensil, look no further than the Cybergraph 2000 from Jean Pierre Lepine. This pen came out in 2000 to mark the end of the century, and commemorate the beginning of the new millenium. It has won several awards for it’s styling. With only 888 made (of the carbon fiber version), and priced at $2,750, you won’t find won’t find one of these lying in just any office.

The pen comes with a black leather case, ink-pump, and screwdriver in a gorgeous see-through maplewood box:

The pen comes with an external ink pump because Jean Pierre Lepine did not want the user to have to dip the pen in ink. The design has quite a bit of technology involved behind it. It’s asymmetric so that the center of gravity lowers in order to give the pen a tumbler effect so it won’t roll. Jean Pierre Lepine spent months researching, testing, and perfecting the Cybergraph 2000.

I found this pen available at two locations online, Airline International and Fountain Pen Hospital. Airline International listed the price as $2,750, while you must call Fountain Pen Hospital for price and availability (1-800-253-7367 or 212-964-0580).

Hermes is known as one of the most luxurious and prestigious brands in the world, and their carbon fiber briefcase is a prime example of this:

The briefcase has a carbon fiber outercase and tan leather inner lining/handle. The locks are 18k gold plated, and there is also a small plate where your initials can be engraved. There are two different sizes, the larger (shown abobe) being 19″ X 14.5″ X 6″.

The briefcase has a limited production run of 500, and is priced at $16,000. Unfortunately the only place that I could find a picture or information was this eBay auction which has it priced for $10,000 new. I couldn’t find anything on the Hermes website. If anybody has or can find more pictures, please let me know.

Bell & Ross was formed in 1992 to be a part of the Swiss watchmaking tradition, while also meeting the demands of men facing extreme situations. Now the likes of astronauts, pilots, divers, and bomb disposal experts use Bell & Ross watches. A few of the watches that they make offer various carbon fiber parts, which makes it appealing to us. Bell & Ross watches are a masterpiece in the making, and just as functional on your wrist. Lets take a look at a few of their carbon fiber offerings:

BR 01-94 Titanium & BR 01-94 Titanium Orange

The above watch which is the titanium orange version is a limited edition (there were only 500 made). I see them on eBay for about $7,750.

BR 01-97 Power Reserve Gold

The above BR 01-97 power reserve gold is also a limited edition watch with only 250 pieces made. I couldn’t find pricing on this one, but the stainless steel version was a little over $3,000.

BR 01 Tourbillon

This is probably my most favorite looking of all of the less Bell & Ross carbon fiber watches. This article from The Watch Quote has some really nice pictures to show off the beautiful design of the BR 01 Tourbillon. As good as it looks, it will set you back $131,000.

BR 02 Pink Gold

The BR 02 style goes away from the square faces we’ve seen above. This watch offers a decompression valve for deep sea diving, with a 300m water resistance. The watch can be had for about $20,000.

BR 03-51 GMT

Here’s another square face offering, this one has the date on it with big numbers for readability. This is also one of the cheaper carbon fiber watches they offer at about $5,000.

The wallet is made by Nissan Japan, features high quality leather, a carbon fiber strip through the middle, and red stitching throughout.

There are three credit card slots, a bill slot, and a coin pocket. The wallet is pretty pricey, coming in at $120…a bit more than the carbon fiber wallet I wrote about before.

I found it sold at one store (Thanks again MC!) online called Response Import Autofashion. I also found it on eBay at the time of writing this which was still $128 shipped:

We all know how easily some of the iPods can get scratched up, and how ugly that looks. That’s why Jason from C6 MFG decided to do something about it. He went out and created a case made out of real aerospace carbon fiber, aluminum, and stainless steel screws.
