While it’s not the only Formula One carbon fiber chess set, Dominik Scheurer’s new limited edition carbon fiber chess set is still one to gawk over.
The chessboard is made entirely of carbon fiber,while the pieces are made from carbon fiber as well as stainless steel feet coated in 24 carat gold or sterling silver. The set comes in a an wooden box with a signed certificate.
The set is extremely limited, with only 101 units being made, and sell for about $11,000. Sounds expensive, but it’s almost 1/5th of the price of the Renault F1 Team’s carbon fiber chess set. To pick one up, check out Carbon-Luxury.com.
